The AIM for Climate Report: “Cultivating Transformative Investments in Climate-Smart Agriculture and Food Systems Innovation”

The AIM for Climate Report: “Cultivating Transformative Investments in Climate-Smart Agriculture and Food Systems Innovation”, offers a clear roadmap for continued partner action in 2025 and beyond.

Developed in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, the report encourages AIM for Climate partners to continue advocating for increased public and private investment in and support for climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation, analyzes the barriers to investments, showcases successful case studies, and outlines four key recommendations that partners can follow to institutionalize progress on increased investment in climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation, both within climate policy frameworks and under the AIM for Climate initiative:

RECOMMENDATION 1

Enhance inclusion of climate-smart agriculture and food systems innovation in NDCs design and implementation

RECOMMENDATION 2

Normalize increased investments made in support of AIM for Climate as new budgetary baselines

RECOMMENDATION 3

Build global partnerships to overcome challenges and scale agricultural innovation

RECOMMENDATION 4

Scale public-private partnerships

AIM for Climate commissioned a separate disquisition to undergird the AIM for Climate Report. The disquisition titled, Increasing Ambition in Nationally Determined Contributions Through Agriculture and Food Systems Innovation, was led by the United Nations Foundation and Climate Focus.
